Supporting those in need with “Roots to Harvest”

Rainy River Mine recently joined forces with a number of other regional mines and suppliers to provide a combined donation of $80,000 to Roots to Harvest.  This organization works to address food insecurity by providing fresh, nutritious food to families and individuals in the area who are most in need.

This partnership will allow Roots to Harvest to:

Expand their food access programs.

Purchase higher-cost items like meat and dairy to include in food bags for those in need.

Work with organizations and Indigenous peoples to support and co-develop initiatives like gardens and pop-up markets.

“By working together with our industry partners, we can make a positive difference in the lives of those in our community who are most in need.”
